about

We have all heard the Chinese Proverb: One picture is worth ten thousand words.

But these days, where unoriginal everyday imagery is tossed around and media trash is shoved in our faces, we don’t always notice the beauty and integrity that lies in a simple image. It is an admirable talent to be able to create an image that sparks the imagination, pulls the viewer into its world and tells a story.

This blog is dedicated to celebrating the work of photographers, animators, painters, street and performance artists who strike the right chord and evoke a strong feeling in me, whether it is pleasure, anger or curiosity. I appreciate any image that captures a moment in time, whether of the subject or the maker, and one that is purposeful, honest and eye-opening.

These are the images that speak a thousand words to me.
